Mayoral Minute | Time for all of us to come together

Mayoral Minute | Time for all of us to come together

John Stafford, mayor

On Saturday, January 26, events will be held in Gunning, Crookwell and Taralga. I encourage everyone to come together as a community and join in.

Festivities at Crookwell’s Memorial Park will be held from 8am to 12pm. There will be food stalls, live music, games, and local Australia Day Awards will be presented to Crookwell recipients.

Taralga’s Australia Day celebrations will be held at the Taralga Showgrounds from 12pm to 1pm. The festivities are part of the Taralga Rodeo and include a presentation of the local Australia Day Awards to the Taralga winners.

Front and centre at the Australia Day celebrations will be this year’s local Australia Day Ambassador, food and wine personality, Lyndey Milan OAM. Ms Milan has produced nine best-selling cookbooks, eight TV series and is the former food director of the Australian Women’s Weekly. She will no doubt be a hit with local foodies!
