Figs Wrapped in Prosciutto

Figs Wrapped in Prosciutto is so simple you do not really require a recipe. It relies on the beautiful flavour of figs in season. The quantities will depend on the size of the figs, so you’ll have to estimate.

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh figs, approximately
  • 4 – 8 thin slices prosciutto

Instructions

  1. Cut the fresh figs into quarters or eighths if they are large.
  2. Remove any rind from the prosciutto and cut each slice into three or four pieces.
  3. They should be large enough to wrap around a fig segment.

Notes

Wine: A rose has enough body to handle the prosciutto without overpowering the fig.
