Lyndey Milan OAM named the Upper Lachlan Shire Council 2019 Australia Day Ambassador
Television chef and business woman Lyndey Milan OAM has been named the Upper Lachlan Shire Council 2019 Australia Day ambassador.
She is a familiar face on television and in print, producing several cookbooks and television series. She was also awarded an Order of Australia for her service to hospitality, the food and wine industry and the community.

Ms Milan will join the mayor, John Stafford, to present the local Australia Day awards.
“Australia Day is a time to celebrate our great nation and honour our unsung heroes for their outstanding contributions to the local community,” Cr Stafford said.
Australia Day events will be held on Saturday, January 26:
Gunning, 8am – 9.45am at Barbour Park, Yass Street.
- Barbecue breakfast and local awards.
Crookwell, 8am – 12pm at Crookwell Memorial Park, Robertson Street.
- Barbecue breakfast, live music, games and local awards.
Taralga, 12pm – 1pm at Showgrounds, Bannaby Road.
- Celebrations are part of the Taralga Rodeo and will include local awards.
